For the consumption of heat without the supplier's written permission, for leakage of network water, for the abusive connection of heat-consuming systems to heat-consumption monitoring equipment, or for the connection to the consumer networks of the subconsumers without the supplier's authorization, the consumer is obliged to pay the supplier the cost, including tariff, of consumption of heat and water by the supplier, even if he has not recognized and/or refused to sign the documents drawn up when fraud is detected. Payment shall be made for the whole period from the time the consumer was last checked by the supplier, but no more than the limitation period for the action.

The recalculation of the payment for thermal energy in case of temporary absence of persons in the living space is not performed. In accordance with the Government Decision of the Republic of Moldova no. 191 of 19.02.2002 of Annex no.4 Method of collecting payments for housing, communal and non-communal services: Tenants missing from apartments / living rooms in dormitories are not exempted from paying rent, payment for technical maintenance of the apartment building and central heating, and those in the apartments / living rooms in privatized dormitories - and the payment of expenses for the repair of the apartment building. If desired, during their absence the payment for the mentioned services can be made in advance.

The payment for the thermal energy used to prepare the hot water is determined based on the tariff set for 1 Gcal and the indices of the measuring device. The costs for the thermal energy consumed in the preparation of 1 m3 of water do not exceed the amount of 50 lei.

The tariff for thermal energy delivered to consumers by CET Nord is set by the National Agency for Energy Regulation of the Republic of Moldova.

The supplier will bring legal action against the consumers in case of failure to pay the thermal energy bill within the deadline, which will lead to the forced collection of the accumulated debts and legal expenses.

The actions of the supplier are provided for by Article 25 of Law No 1402 of 24.10.2002 of the public services of the Community household.

Note: If payment is made a few days after the invoice date, the amount paid will be reflected in the following bill. For example, the payment deadline is until 30.03.2020 and the payment was made at 01.04.2020, then the amount paid is in the consumer's personal account and will be reflected in the next invoice.
