To familiarize the inhabitants of Balti, especially young students of the city's colleges and schools, "CET-Nord" SA launched a competition and organised a series of excursions.
Employees of "CET-Nord" SA donated 208,000 lei to the Balti Clinical Hospital. The money donated at the end of March 2020 was directed to procure the safety equipment and medical equipment much needed in the fight against COVID-19.
The hospital administration was able to purchase a bronchoscope, a piece of equipment which cost more than 123,000 lei and a pharyngoscope which worth 57,000 lei.
The rest of the money was spent on the purchase of safety equipment and disinfectants.
The management of the medical institution stated that the donation made by the employees of "CET-Nord" SA was an important one, which allowed the hospital to purchase equipment to establish diagnoses, as well as the necessary supplies to sanitize the rooms where patients with COVID-19 are treated.
On 1 February „CET-Nord” SA launched a competition for poetry, drawing/photography and film entitled "Modern central heating – efficiency, safety and ecology", in which can participate all students of grades VIII-XII from the schools of Balti, as well as the students of the colleges and trade schools in the city.
Also, starting from 1st of February up to 10th of December, during the competition, all participants will be able to go in a series of trips to the company's territory in order to learn more about the process of production and delivery of thermal energy.
The aim of the activities is to inform the young generation about the energy safety and efficiency of central heating, as well as the adverse effects on the health and environment of individual thermal power plants by stimulating, and harnessing the creative potential of children.
Following their visits within the company scheduled from February to mid-March and which will be resumed in October, students will be invited to participate in a competition in which they will be able to take photos, create drawings or caricatures, video spots or animations and write prose or poems in an individual and original manner, following the rules of the competition.

The competition will have three categories/sections:
- prose/poems;
- photos/drawings/caricatures;
- video spots/animations.
The works will be appreciated by a professional jury, which will include representatives of the Youth, Sports and Education Directorate from Balti Town Hall, "CET-Nord" SA, as well as visitors to the company's Facebook page.
Winners will be awarded with mentions and gifts from "CET-Nord" SA.
At the final stage of the competition all the students' works will be exhibited during a festive premiere. An online gallery of the artworks will also be created, and will be exhibited on both the company's website, www.cet-nord.md and the institution's Facebook page. The most interesting and ingenious artworks will be selected, as illustrative material, for various projects: banners, promotional materials, Professional Day greeting cards.
