The thermal networks of SACET operated by "CET-Nord" SA are obsolete, worn out and cause large losses of heat and water. They need urgent rehabilitation and modernisation work.

The thermal networks of SACET operated by "CET-Nord" SA are obsolete, worn out and cause large losses of heat and water. They need urgent rehabilitation and modernisation work. The low quality of services and the inability of consumers to manage the heat they need individually has led to considerable disconnections from SACET. In particular, those who could afford to install individual power plants were disconnected.
In order to prevent heat leakage and improve the quality of services, from 2019 when repairing heating networks is carried out, "CET-Nord" SA has started using pre-insulated pipes that can be operated over a longer period of time and will allow to reduce heat losses during transport.
The properties of the material from which the pipes are made will increase the service life of more than 25 years, reducing heat loss by 20%, and easy installation will allow quick and efficient installation of the system even in hard-to-reach places. In Balti there are areas where groundwater (underground) is at the surface and can cause rapid deterioration of thermal networks, increasing heat loss and reducing the life of pipes. Pre-insulated pipes are reliably protected from such an impact.
Pre-insulated pipes are equipped with special sensors (signal lines). Due to their presence, it is always possible to accurately determine the leaks in the network. Furthermore, this is the next step for the implementation of the SCADA monitoring system, which will allow automation and monitoring of thermal agent supply in real time.
Prior to the installation of the new pipes, the specialists "CET-Nord" SA underwent appropriate training. The installation of the new pipes has already been carried out on Mihai Viteazul Street, and now almost finalized on Hotin Street.
In the future, "CET-Nord" SA intends to use only such materials for the replacement of heat supply systems. In total, it is necessary to rebuild with the new technology 94 km of master route and 109 km of distribution pipes of the heat supply system. This will significantly reduce the loss of heat during the distribution to the consumers, which will help to adjust the tariff.

In 2020, a thoroughfare thermal network in the Dacia sector of Balti, with a diameter of 426 mm and 325 mm and a length of about 1.7 km, located on Ivan Conev Street in the perimeter of Ivano Franco and Lesicio streets, is about to be modernized.
Considering the intention of the Local Public Administration to do major reparation works on Ivan Conev Street, "CET-Nord" SA initiated the modernisation and retrofitting of the thermal network, so as to exclude the risk of damage and deterioration of the renovated road in the future.
The work started last week and involves changing thermal networks with an outdated operating time and more than 30 years of service. As we are constantly looking to improve our services, we have opted for pre-insulated pipes, manufactured according to a new technology, that will reduce heat loss and significantly reduce the risk of damage to the region over several decades. The prescribed term of operation of pre-insulated pipes is 50 years.
At the same time, the specialists "CET-Nord" SA carry out maintenance work on the entire centralized heat supply system in Balti, in order to increase its reliability in the new heating season 2020-2021.
The works are included in the investment plan for 2020 approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency and are part of the complex development and improvement project of the services "CET-Nord" SA.
To be always in contact with consumers, a Call-Centre was created at SA "CET-Nord". Operators are ready to accept the requests and answer any questions concerning heating in Balti, at telephone number 0231-91-000.
